Friendship and Food

Life is pretty darned hard.  Sometimes it hands you not just a few lemons but a whole frickin’ truck full.

Our dear friend Paul fought hard and won his battle against cancer.  So we celebrated….he happened to be a super foodie….which meant the best way to celebrate was to stuff ourselves with food and wine!  This wonderful celebration was planned by Paul’s high school, lifelong friends and took place at JJ’s Backyard where we had a private dinner party.  We were thrilled to be a part of it.  Here’s what they served us.

Pardon the crappy pics…..Heck, I don’t care, it was wonderful and life is pretty good!

Dessert (at this point I was ready to explode!) Seasonal Winter Crisp with Bourbon and Cinnamon

Everything was cooked on a Big Green Egg , and it was a private dinner.  The idea is to reserve the whole place, have a few glasses of wine, eat great food and enjoy each others’ company.  Here’s where you can learn more: Chef JJ’s Backyard

It is a FANTASTIC FRIDAY!

Peace out,

Isabelle
