Tumbleweeds

This is one of my absolute favorite Christmas treats, probably because I love, really really love anything with peanut butter!  AND if it happens to be a sweet salty peanut butter treat, OH MY, perfect!

This recipe is from Grandma Georgia, she made this the first Christmas we were here in Indiana and I couldn’t get enough of it.  She naturally gave me the recipe because she loves me 🙂 and I am married to her grand son!

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons peanut butter

3 cups butterscotch chips

1 can (7 ounces) potato sticks

1 can (12 ounces) salted peanuts

How to:

Lay wax paper on 2 baking sheets, and set aside.

In a large bowl melt your butterscotch chips and peanut butter.  I like to melt in the microwave in 30 seconds increments.  Stir and put in for another 30 seconds.  Add your potato sticks and peanuts, carefully stir to coat everything.  Drop by rounded spoonfuls on your prepared baking sheet.  Put in your freezer for 1 hour.  Break up your cooled treat and put in small containers or Christmas treat bags.
