World’s Easiest Cookies

OK so this is not a true recipe in the sense of 15 ingredients and long prep but I tell you this is a good cookie!  And it is almost embarrassing how easy it is to make.

Ingredients:

Store bought peanut butter cookie dough

1 cup chocolate chip (I used semi-sweet)

1 cup banana chips

1/2 cup of raw sugar or turninado sugar (optional)

Put the sugar in a shallow bowl, I used a glass pie plate.  Next you need to chop up your banana chips, go ahead and take out a little frustration, be careful as they tend to go flying everywhere.  Next put everything but the sugar in a large mixing bowl, go wash your hands and use them to mix it all up.  Much easier than using a spoon, again everything tends to fly everywhere…might be me!  Pretty easy so far?  Now take a spoon or small “ice cream” scoop and make small balls with the dough.

Then roll in sugar.

roll with it 🙂

Put on your cookie sheet, and flatten a little, just a little, you want the cookies to still have some body to them.  Not sure if using the term “body to them” in regards to cookies is logical but you get my point…

I put some parchment paper on my cookie sheet but you could also grease it a little just so life is easier once the cookies come out of the oven, no one needs to be fighting with a spatula trying to remove cookies!

In the oven we go at 375F for 8-10 minutes (hopefully you know your oven’s temperament)

before oven:

*please note how my last cookie is not “flat” yet, just wanted to show you the difference!

before….

After oven:

and after

See the beautiful sparkling sugar!  These are really good and the banana chips give it a nice little crunch.  Kids and “pretend to be adults”  love them!

:O)

  1. Salut Isabelle,

Ever since Oprah unveiled the winner of her cookie contest (google it), I have been searching for pre-made peanut butter cookie dough in the stores – seems that Canada’s strict foodie laws have removed it from the shelves here in Dorval – d’oh!!!! Dang it!!!!

    Maybe I’ll try in Ontario…

Keep up the good work on the blog!
